Multimedia pop experimentalists shy kids have announced their latest album, house cats, due out July 14 via Everything Forever.
The trio, who describe themselves in a statement as "Broken Social Scene…but shyer," have shared a trippy, feline-filled video for the R&B-influenced art pop single "lovin you (baby)." This follows recent singles "fresh off a feeling," "family name" and "bye bye birdie," which are also included on the album.
In other shy kids news, they have contributed the opening and closing title sequences to BlackBerry, due out in cinemas May 12. They're also working on their own feature-length film, shylo. The musicians have a long history in film; their 2013 short film NOAH, which was a university thesis project, was a very early example of the screenlife genre.
Check out the "lovin you (baby)" video below and the house cats tracklist below that.
