Rory McClure has been focusing on his Silver Matter side-project as of late, but now the British Columbia singer-guitarist has rolled out a couple of new tracks with his indie pop band Shimmering Stars.
As is the band's signature style, these songs are art-damaged retro-pop tunes that are soaked in cavernous reverb. "Are You Invisible" features a dynamic arrangement of crunchy, climactic guitars and hazy falsetto harmonies. On the flip-side, "LSD" is similarly atmospheric, but is a little more sedate and straightforward.
