Shamir has returned with details of a new album. The Philadelphia singer-songwriter will deliver Heterosexuality on February 11.

Following last year's self-titled seventh albumHeterosexuality was produced by Hollow Comet of Strange Ranger, and features the previously shared "Gay Agenda" and new arrival "Cisgender," both of which you can hear below.

In an accompanying video for "Cisgender" directed by Jenny He, Shamir once again dons the antlers that appear on Heterosexuality's cover artwork, singing, "I'm not cisgender / I'm not binary, trans / I don't wanna be a girl / I don't wanna be a man / I'm just existing on this god forsaken land / And you can take it or leave it or you can just stay back."

"I think this album is me finally acknowledging my trauma," Shamir shares of his latest in a statement. "Everyone knows I've been through so much shit and I kind of just rammed through, without really acknowledging the actual trauma that I do feel on almost a daily basis."

As previously reported, Shamir will tour with Courtney Barnett in February, making stops in Montreal and Toronto.
