After Don Pyle's retrospective photo book, Trouble in the Camera Club, it was really only a matter of time before the Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet member decided to revisit his old band's back catalogue as well. Sure enough, the instrumental Canadian rock band will be reissuing their three albums.

The LPs will be coming out through Alberta's Mammoth Cave Recording Co. They will be released at approximately six month intervals, beginning with 1988's Savvy Show Stoppers in June. The record has been remastered from the original tapes and will come out on heavyweight vinyl in a gatefold sleeve with a bonus track. For the first time ever, it will be available digitally.

Then 1991's Dim the Lights, Chill the Ham and 1993's Sport Fishin': The Lure of the Bait, The Luck of the Hook will come later via the imprint.

The promote the release, Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet will reconvene for a pair of shows: June 20 at Calgary's Royal Canadian Legion as part of Sled Island and July 14 at Lee's Palace in Toronto. These performances will feature Dallas Good of the Sadies on bass, since original Shadowy Man Reid Diamond died in 2001.

Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet now have their own Bandcamp page, and you can stream some songs from Savvy Show Stoppers below.
