Fans of great fuckin' trains and Sebastian Bach alike will be delighted to know that the ex-Skid Row singer has returned with his first solo single in almost a decade, "What Do I Got to Lose?"
Bach is apparently fresh off of an appearance on The Masked Singer — which I will choose to believe without subjecting myself to the process of corroborating that information — and co-wrote the song with Myles Kennedy (Alter Bridge, Slash) and producer Elvis Baskette.
"To me, 'What Do I Got to Lose?' is the perfect sentiment for me right now," Bach said in a press release. "It's an anthem for coming back and crushing it. It's time to lay down the law and put the hammer down old-school-style."
The follow-up to 2014's Give 'Em Hell also marks the artist's first release for the Reigning Phoenix Music imprint, through which he plans on releasing the studio album he's been working on for more than eight years in 2024.
"I cannot express enough how happy I am to have a full and complete team of rock and roll professionals on my side with RPM," Bach added. "We have been working on this record together for over eight years and I could not be more proud of the results!"
If the brawny, key-changing single — the video for which opens with a snippet of "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" theme by Ennio Morricone and comedian Craig Gass asking, "Whatever happened to rock videos, man?" — is any indication, we're in for some rock and also roll.
