Scorpios are no ordinary indie rock band: the group comprises several prolific punk rockers, including Joey Cape of Lagwagon and Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Jon Snodgrass of Drag the River, and Brian Wahlstrom. After releasing their debut album, Tour Record, the band heartbreakingly lost member Tony Sly in 2012. However, instead of letting the tragedy end the band, the three remaining members set off on a North American tour as a tribute to their bandmate.
When the trio were in Toronto playing Lee's Palace, we snagged them for a brief moment to perform a song in the upstairs Dance Cave. The three performed "Lifer" from Tour Record, featuring all three on vocals, two guitars, and one keyboard. Watch the performance below.
