SBTRKT Accuses Disclosure of Stealing His Aesthetic

Over the weekend, British electronic lads Disclosure announced their sophomore album Caracal. The news was met with a great deal of excitement, though mysterious electronic producer SBTRKT is not very pleased with the album's feline theme. In fact, he's insinuated that the duo have ripped him off throughout their career.

In a series of tweets, both SBTRKT and his art director A Hidden Place opened up about Disclosure's Caracal cover. While the band's Howard Lawrence said he simply became fascinated with the caracal while on tour, SBTRKT thinks it's a little too similar to the wildcat on the cover of his 2014 release Wonder Where We Land.

Calling the band "wildcopycats," SBTRKT had plenty to say about Disclosure's artwork:

Disclosure have yet to respond to the allegations that they've ripped off SBTRKT's artwork. Each artists' two LP covers are available above. 
 
Disclosure's Caracal is due out September 25 through PMR/Island.
