Sally Shapiro Announce 'Somewhere Else'

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Nov 5, 2012

Swedish disco duo Sally Shapiro have announced that their first proper LP since 2009's My Guilty Pleasure will drop early next year. It's called Somewhere Else, and the record will hit retailers via Paper Bag February 26.

According to vocalist Shapiro, "The title [Somewhere Else] describes the recurrent theme in the music and my life, to somehow never be satisfied with what you have, or where you are — to always wish you were somewhere else."

Beyond Shapiro and producer Johan Agebjörn's contributions, the 12-song set features a few team-ups with the likes of Electric Youth, Anoraak and Le Prix. You can check Shapiro's airy vocal work on the gentle, four-on-the-floor and flute-filled first single "What Can I Do" in a stream down below, where you'll also find the tracklisting. You'll note there is a slight difference between the vinyl version and its CD and digital counterparts.
