In late April, Burlington-based rock outfit Saint Alvia released their fourth full-length album, Static Psalms. In celebration of the release, they stopped by the Exclaim! office to play one of their new songs.
Three of the band's six members performed a stripped-down version of closing track "Not Our World." While this live rendition loses the gospel background vocals and the drums, the combination of guitar, keyboard, and vocal vocal harmonies have more than enough soul to keep the song going.
You can see Saint Alvia in Toronto at Stereo Dynamite Recordings / Riot Rock Management's NXNE Showcase on Friday, June 14 at the Hard Luck Bar.
