Toronto soul singer Saidah Baba Talibah is currently fundraising for a new album, and with 11 days left in the campaign, she's spreading the word by releasing a music video for "High."
This cut from 2011's (S)Cream is a dramatic, string-assisted soul-rock number. For the first half of the clip, we see the singer's silhouette as she dances and a lip-syncs, and she is more brightly illuminated for the second half of the simple clip.
A press release explains, "Saidah Baba Talibah's new video for single 'High' is raw, simple and powerful, allowing Saidah's talent and artistic strength to shine through. Period. Nodding to her roots as a former dancer, the video features glimpses modern dance choreography, melding voice, body and soul into an exquisite performance."
