Ryan Adams and Mandy Moore to Divorce

Alternative singer-songwriter Ryan Adams has been married to actress Mandy Moore for over half a decade, but the two are now reportedly set to divorce.

Moore's representative released a statement to Us Weekly, saying, "Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams have mutually decided to end their marriage of almost 6 years.... It is a respectful, amicable parting of ways and both Mandy and Ryan are asking for media to respect their privacy at this time."  

Last year, Adams hung up on an Australian radio station when they questioned him too much about his relationship with Moore. He later explained his side of what happened to Buzzfeed, saying, "I was really nice about it the first time, and I'm sorry, but I won't repeat myself. The deal is this: I'm a private person and I'll be a gentleman and say I'm not talking about my marriage ever. I'll never talk about it. Ever."

Moore has contributed background vocals to multiple Ryan Adams songs.
