Róisín Murphy

"Exploitation"

BY Alex HudsonPublished Mar 24, 2015

Irish singer Róisín Murphy is releasing her album Hairless Toys on May 12 through Play It Again Sam, and now she's shared another track from her first album in eight years with "Exploitation."

The song is a snaky, low-key electronic number with jazzy undertones to its fluttering rhythms. There are lots of queasy, pitch-dropped synth bends and noodling instrumentation, while Murphy repeats her refrain, "Who's exploiting who?"

A four-minute single edit is below [via Pitchfork], along with the nine-and-a-half-minute album version.
