It features contributions from Paul McCartney, Joe Walsh, Peter Frampton, Benmont Tench and Edgar Winter

Beatles drummer Ringo Starr celebrates his 77th birthday today (July 7), and to mark to occasion, he's revealed plans for a brand new studio album. His latest effort is going by the name Give More Love, and it's due out September 15 via uMe. A vinyl release will follow on September 22.

The new LP was recorded at Starr's home studio in Los Angeles, and it features a number of collaborations with fellow former Beatle Paul McCartney, who has co-writing credits on "We're on the Road Again" and "Show Me the Way."

It seems that Starr is still indeed getting by with a little help from his friends, as other famous guests across the album include Joe Walsh, Peter Frampton, Benmont Tench, Edgar Winter, Steve Lukather, Gary Burr, Dave Stewart, Don Was and more.

Now we know what McCartney, Walsh and Starr were getting up to when rumours of a collaboration surfaced earlier this year.

In addition to the record's 10 album tracks, four bonus cuts will also be made available. Check out the full tracklisting below.
