Though it may only span seven days, this week's lineup of Can't Miss Concerts, from April 21 to 27, has us feeling as though we've been thrown for a loop in some sort of musical time machine, taking us back 50 years with the guitar-slinging Arlo Guthrie and stumbling blindly into the future with Montreal quartet Suuns. If this sounds like your thing, sign the liability waiver for 'possible loss of limb' and hop on in. Then, head over to our complete Concert Listings for even more live show selections to suit every musical inclination.

Arlo Guthrie

American folk legend Arlo Guthrie is taking fans back to the '60s with his 50th Anniversary Alice's Restaurant Tour, and while the tune behind it all may be old, the 18-minute-long antiwar protest piece is still as relevant as ever, given today's political climate. Reminisce with him at Vancouver's Chan Centre for the Performing Arts.
