Providing an alternative to all of the carols you’ll hear this season, this London-based producer would rather contemplate the uncertainty of it all than sing "Joy to the World.” A b-side to his Kompakt-released "Maximize” single, Mr. Dog slows things down a bit and trades in his booming anthemic trance for a shot at slick electro. The shy recluse even takes a stab at crooning to give it some much-appreciated glamour, which seems to kill off any notion that this is a product of acute paranoia.
