Electronic music hub Resident Advisor has announced the launch of a global event series called RA Community Connections (RA CC) — which will see its inaugural event take place this Sunday (June 11) in Montreal.
Organized by RA's expansive Global Contributor Network (GCN), local record shops, radio stations, community spaces and collectives will come together for networking events, artist interviews, free workshops, performances and more with the help of city managers deeply embedded in local scenes.
For the first event, La Rama Records and Shift Radio will take over Montreal's Osmo x Marusan cafe on Sunday (June 11) from 3 to 9 p.m. ET for a pop-up record store and livestream event with sets by local DJs, including Audrey Bélanger, DJ Hidi, Edward Reilly, Gene Tellem and Kris Guilty.
The second event in the series will follow next weekend in Copenhagen. More are planned for later in the year, and all radio shows and streams will be available to listen to on RA's SoundCloud.
