Last year, Chairlift's Caroline Polachek released a solo album called Arcadia under the pseudonym Ramona Lisa. But while that record was composed entirely using MIDI, the songwriter has now reworked a few of the songs for the newly released Piano Versions EP.
As the title implies, this short collection consists of songs was performed with only piano and voice. They were arranged and recorded with composer Jay Israelson, with mixing and engineering handled by Miles B.A. Robinson.
In an announcement, Polachek explained, "I chose these three piano versions to release today because they're the most stripped-down from the originals, revealing what was going on in there all along."
Below, stream the three-song EP on Spotify. (For those without Spotify, a stand-alone player of "Walking in the Cemetery" is also below.)
Scroll past that to check out a new video for the ambient Arcadia soundscape "I Love Our World," which consists of a collage of footage from a European tour as seen through what resembles small window in a black background.
