Underground lo-fi king R. Stevie Moore recently got a boost of publicity thanks to his collaboration with Ariel Pink, and now he's looking to capitalize on that success by releasing a new compilation of some of his finest work.
Details on the collection are still scarce, but FACT reports that the comp will be called Lo Fi Hi Fives: A Kind of Best Of and that it will arrive via O Genesis Recordings, the label run by Tim Burgess of the Charlatans.
Allmusic lists the release date as June 4 in the UK, while an Amazon listing indicates a possible North American release date of August 14. It will be available on CD and vinyl, and the tracklist is currently unknown.
This isn't the first time that R. Stevie Moore has received the compilation treatment. The Ariel Pink-compiled limited-edition cassette Ariel Pink's Picks Vol.1 dropped in 2011, and digital copies are still available to purchase through Bandcamp. Take a listen to that below.
