Quebec's FME Festival Gets Blonde Redhead, the Besnard Lakes, Voivod for 2013 Edition

As summer begins to wind down this year, Rouyn-Noranda, QC's Emerging Music Festival — otherwise known as Festival de Musique Émergente or FME — will cap off the sunny season with four days of music from August 29 to September 1.

Today (June 26) organizers rolled out the initial lineup, revealing this year's performers include Blonde Redhead, the Besnard Lakes, Dayglo Abortions, Suuns, Groenland, Pawa Up First, Dead Obies, Gros Mené, Mononc'Serge (performing acoustically), Cargo Culte, Mardi Noir, UBT (a.k.a. Uncle Bad Touch), Mermonte, Florian Mona, Chill Bump, Fordamage, Karim Ouellet, Le Couleur, Grenadine, Foxtrott and Klô Pelgag.

The bill also includes an all-metal night, which will feature Voivod, Origin, Dying Fetus, Esmerine and Cryptik Howling.

This is the 11th edition of the festival. The full program will be announced on July 16, with festival pass pre-sales beginning the next day. Stay tuned to FME's website for details.
