PVT

"Nightfall"

BY Alex HudsonPublished Oct 16, 2012

PVT reinvented themselves with 2010's Church with No Magic by shortening their band name (they were previously known as Pivot) and making the move towards more conventionally structured songwriting. Now, the Aussie math-tronica act are preparing to return with a new single in advance of another LP.

"Nightfall" features tumbling beats and spiralling synth patterns that create a moody backdrop for the goth-tinged vocals. The single will be released digitally on October 23 through Felte Sounds, with the full-length Homosapien following sometime after.

Stream the track over at PVT's SoundCloud, and check out the band's live schedule over at their official website. They perform tonight (October 16) in Montreal and tomorrow night (October 17) in Toronto, with an additional Canadian date in Vancouver on October 25. All those dates are opening for Menomena.
