What the world needs now is a new song from Public Image Ltd., and now the John Lydon-led band have obliged by sharing a track from the forthcoming What the World Needs Now… in the form of "Double Trouble."
The song begins with Lydon reenacting a domestic squabble as he snarls about a broken toilet. From there, the track is a jagged post-punk scorcher filled with barbed-wire guitar licks, screeched refrains, and the ultimate decision to use a bucket in place of the broken toilet.
Hear hear the tune below. "Double Trouble" will come out on a 10-inch on August 21, and the self-released What the World Needs Now… will follow on September 4.
