Earlier in the week, Steve Albini and Powell started making headlines — and billboards — thanks to an over-email anti-dance music rant from the former. That email then appeared on a gigantic XL Recordings billboard, and Powell gave an interview explaining that there were no hard feelings and that he actually agreed with most of what Albini had to say about the genre.
The rant was initially spurred when Powell contacted Albini for permission to use a sample from a Big Black live recording, and now the song in question has emerged and been given the video treatment.
Titled "Insomniac," the clip features a sample of Albini's vocals and features the text from the musically minded exchange between the pair of musicians. Watch it come to life in neon green by hitting play below.
