Peter Bjorn and John are headed back into our lives with a new album. Called Darker Days, the LP will arrive on October 19.

The album marks the Swedish group's first since 2016's Breakin' Point and was recorded in Stockholm at Atlantis Studios. A press release promises the group aimed to "strip away the noise" and create a "composed and simple" album. Each member — Peter Morén, Björn Yttling and John Eriksson — wrote songs for Darker Days, though composed them all separately.

According to the press release, the album's themes include "Peter tackling what's happening in the world right now, Bjorn delving into relationship issues and John, the most existential, exploring the shadows of our own psyche."

While we've yet to get a song from the upcoming album, Peter Bjorn and John have announced a North American tour, and you can see all the dates below.
