Kendrick Lamar has been working on the follow-up to his 2012 masterpiece good kid, m.A.A.d. city for a while now, recently revealing that he has 40 songs done. Now, we know another guest who has contributed to the sessions: veteran rapper-producer Pete Rock.

"I did some scratching and I'm on the hook on one of his songs on his album," Rock told XXL. "I'm really excited about that. It's just a regular hook. I can't really sing it to you, you're just going to have to hear it."

Rumours have indicated that the album may be out later this year, but we won't be holding our breath until we get some solid confirmation.

Meanwhile, Lamar's good kid, m.A.A.d. city was recently celebrated with a spin-off short film called m.A.A.d..
