Parquet Courts will be pushing their Human Performance LP on us later this week, but the New York garage pop players have offered up another preview ahead of the official release. The pensive and echo-slathered title track is streaming now.
The tune follows the recently previewed "Berlin Got Blurry," with this latest number taking a slow and steady approach to Zombies-style psych pop and NYC cool. Grizzled guitar hooks mesh with what sounds like a vintage Mellotron, while the lyrics cover an oncoming darkness, and times spent at home pondering your direction while working on a sink full of dishes.
You can hear Parquet Courts' "Human Performance" below, while their album of the same name hits stores April 8 through Rough Trade.
As previously reported, the band are out on tour in support of the new record, and you can see the dates here.
