Parkay Quarts

"Pretty Machines" (video)

Parquet Courts continue to juggle their wordplay-inspired alter-ego Parkay Quarts, and they've just released a new video for "Pretty Machines" under that moniker.

The tune comes from Parkay Quarts' recently released debut Content Nausea, while the video was created with the help of returning collaborator Johann Rashid.

It follows band member Austin Brown as he goes about a typical day. Disguises are used at certain points, and the whole thing turns into a loop of itself. As a press release explains, "The use of overlapping frames lends a level of surrealist doubt to the whole affair: What is real? What is perceived?"

Try to figure it out for yourself by watching the clip below. Content Nausea is out now via What's Your Rupture?
