Ottawa Explosion Weekend Taps the Marked Men, METZ, Needles//Pins for 2014 Edition

The annual Ottawa Explosion Weekend continues to bring, well, an explosion of diverse punk sounds to, well, Ottawa each year. The first 25 bands for the 2014 edition have just been announced, and it's quite the lineup.

Arguably the most exciting additions to the fest's lineup are appearances from beloved Texas pop punk heroes the Marked Men and Sub Pop-signed Toronto unit METZ. They'll be joined by a lineup that includes plenty of American punk acts like Primitive Hearts, Pretty Pretty and Idle Bloom, alongside Canadian acts like the Famines, Sonic Avenues, Needles//Pins and Tough Age.

Of course, it wouldn't be an Ottawa Explosion without some hometown heroes, including the Steve Adamyk Band, New Swears, Crusades and the White Wires, among others.

All the bands revealed in this initial lineup announcement can be seen here.

The festival runs from June 12 to 15. Passes will only run you $60 and can be purchased here.
