At long last, British synth-pop pioneers Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark have announced that they're returning with a new full-length, their first in 14 years. To get us all excited for the album, appropriately dubbed History of Modern, Andy McCluskey, Paul Humphreys and co. are sharing a newly recorded demo off the album.
It's for the History of Modern track "Sister Marie Says," and can be downloaded now at OMD's website by joining their mailing list.
The song was written in 1981, but was shelved when it was thought to be too similar to OMD single "Enola Gay." So, needless to say, this is classic OMD and shows the group showing signs of a true return to form.
History of Modern is slated for a fall release.
