Within the past year, Olenka and the Autumn Lovers have released their Hard Times EP plus the three-song It's Alright 7-inch. Now, the folksy Ontario outfit are already looking to the future by booking a tour in advance of a new album.
The summer tour is a relatively short one, since it will last for just a week and a half in late July and early August. It's entirely based in the eastern half of the country, and includes shows in Ontario, Quebec, and New Brunswick. See the schedule below.
After the tour, the band plan to head into the studio to record a new full-length. The results are slated to be released on Zunior Records in the spring of 2014. The record deal also includes plans to distribute the band's back catalogue nationally through Outside Music.
"I can't wait to be back on the road and on vacation!" band leader Olenka Krakus said in a statement. "Our summer tour will give us a chance to promote our latest releases, but it's also an excuse for some time off, before we dive back into the grind of album production again. We're really excited to be working with Zunior, and happy to have their support on what will be our seventh and hopefully best release."
