Organizers behind Sudbury, ON's Northern Lights Festival Boréal recently teased this year's instalment by revealing Tokyo Police Club would be one of the headlining acts, and now they've announced the next wave of artists attached to the summer event include Canadian great Bruce Cockburn, Wintersleep and more.
A press release for the fest, which runs July 4 to 6 at Sudbury's Bell Park, confirms that veteran singer-songwriter Cockburn will make his way out on stage July 5 to promote his latest LP Small Source of Comfort, as well as a back catalogue 31 albums deep. Also signed up for headlining duties are Maritimes rock pop player Wintersleep, who will close out the fest on July 6. As previously reported, Tokyo Police Club are the top draw on July 4.
Other newly revealed artists heading to Northern Lights Festival Boréal this year include the Melbourne Ska Orchestra, the Lemon Bucket Orkestra, En Bref, Crystal Shawanda, Sheesham and Lotus and Son, Les Poules à Colin, Matt Tomlinson, the Claytones, Jessica Stuart Few, Annie Lou, the Harpoonist and the Axe Murderer, Cindy Cook and more.
As previously reported, festival passes are on sale now at a couple of different price points. A three-day pass will cost students $60, with the regular admission pass totalling $85. You can find out more info on the ticketing over here.
