New Swears

"777"

New Swears are gearing up to unleash their latest LP And the Magic of Horses this summer, and Exclaim! is giving you an idea of what's on the way with the premiere of "777."

The track hears the Ottawa party punks mellowing out, offering up a jangle-pop jam packed with slick, surf-y riffs and joyous vocal harmonies. It's the perfect tune to lead you into the sunshine-y summer months ahead.

"777 was written in various locations on various acoustic guitars in this crazy place we call life and we recorded it with our pal Yogi, who worked on our last record too," the band's Scru Bar tells Exclaim! "The song's about gambling, rolling the dice and letting the chips fall where they may, and it's loosely based on our yearly tradition where we all pool our Christmas money together and take it to the casino. We haven't lost yet."

Get in on their winning streak by giving "777" a spin below.
