New Jersey Man Turns "Welcome to the Jungle" Up to 11, Rams Car into Police Station

He clearly had an 'Appetite for Destruction'

There are New Jerseyites who write songs like "Jungleland," and there are others who blare songs like Guns N' Roses' "Welcome to the Jungle" before ramming their vehicle into a building.

Authorities in Independence Township, NJ, claim that on September 20, a man intentionally crashed his vehicle through the wall of the community police station while his car stereo "blared" the Guns N' Roses catalogue staple.

As seen below [via ABC7] — without sound, regrettably — security camera footage of the incident published by the Independence Township Police Department shows the vehicle driving through the wall. The driver then exits the vehicle with his hands up, and "appeared to be celebrating" as officers moved to make an arrest.

For crashing his car through the station wall, police charged John Hargreaves of Belvidere, NJ, with one count of first-degree terrorism, one count of causing widespread injury or damage and more. If convicted of the terrorism charge, Hargreaves could face 30 years to life in prison.

The Appetite for Destruction wasn't limited to the police station, as Hargreaves was also charged for allegedly driving his vehicle through the garage door of a home in Liberty Township, NJ, before his arrest "in an attempt to scare or harass the homeowner, who the defendant knew," per a press release.

This month, Guns N' Roses play Edmonton and Vancouver as part of their 2023 world tour, and we sincerely hope everyone driving to the gig does so safely and defensively.
