Toronto-based Candle Recording production wizard Josh Korody delivered his latest offering as Nailbiter with Waveshaper earlier this year, and now "Spoiled" off that record has been given the visual treatment.
To capture the feel of the track, Korody enlisted director Romar L. Johnson to produce real-time, audio-generated graphics that move with the music.
"I made the track in Montreal. I was living by myself for a bit after a big break up and feeling lonely and detached to my regular routine," Korody tells Exclaim! "I think the track represents that insolation, like walking into a strange place. I was listening to a lot of minimal techno and wanted the video to represent that. I wanted a video with no narrative. What I love about minimal electronic music and video is it can still take you to a different place mentally and other worldly."
There might not be any precise narrative to follow, but you can nevertheless immerse yourself in the visual world created by Korody and Johnson in the video for "Spoiled" down below.
The clip arrives just in advance of Nailbiter's next live show, which is set to take place tonight (June 1) at La Vitrola in Montreal, alongside Group A and Sunstroke Militia.
