In association with EMG Collections, Music in Motion Canada is hosting the 2024 MiMc Awards to give undiscovered indie talent the chance to gain invaluable exposure and music industry connections.
Everyone who enters from now until October 30 will receive adjudicated feedback — from a panel made up of award-winning producers, songwriters and recording artists — and a certificate of participation. There's also an option to choose feedback in the categories of Road Ready, Media Print Ready and Grant Ready to help you gain more specified insights about reaching the next stage in your music career.
This year, the top 20 finalists will also have the chance to win prizes worth over $50,000, including studio time, mentoring sessions, promotion and distribution, branding, and media marketing. Prizes will be awarded to the individuals who demonstrate exceeding originality, skill and distinction.
Two of the winners from the 2023 edition of the MiMc Awards, Nick Hidden and CJ Cooper, were given the opportunity to perform at this year's Lilla By Festival in Sweden, while the former also signed a management deal.
