After releasing their sixth studio album Panic Stations late last year, long-running Minneapolis pop-punks Motion City Soundtrack have announced they're calling it quits.
In a Facebook post, the band revealed they have been thinking about the "past, present and future of Motion City Soundtrack" in their downtime after what was a busy 2015. "All of this thinking has lead to several conversations, and these conversations have lead us to a very bittersweet realization: We have no idea what the future holds, but for now we are done," the post reads.
Along with the announcement, the band have revealed that dates for a farewell tour will be announced this coming Monday, March 14. "If you've ever been touched by our music, we ask you to come out and sing along with us one last time in 2016," they write.
While we await tour details, read through the band's full statement below.
