Moscow Apartment released their self-titled debut EP last year, and now the teenaged, Toronto-based duo are back with a brand new single.
"Be You" hears Brighid Fry and Pascale Padilla moving away from their folksy roots and embracing an indie rock-leaning sound with the help of additional players Dov Beck-Levine and Melissa Paju.
Like most of their songs, "Be You" touches on what they know best — navigating the choppy waters of adolescence. By the chorus, though, the track hears Fry and Padilla finding firmer footing and declaring: "I won't let myself be used by you."
It's as jangly and sweet-sounding as it is empowering. Give "Be You" a listen down below.
Moscow Apartment will be on tour with the Good Lovelies throughout the next month. See their full upcoming live dates here.
