Morrissey Apparently Not Dropped by His Label After All

A few days ago, reports emerged that Morrissey had been dropped by Capitol Records/Harvest Records, with semi-official website True to You noting that Moz was looking for a new label. Now, it seems that this isn't the case.

A source "close to the situation" has confirmed with Billboard that the former Smiths singer has apparently not been released from Capitol/Harvest. In fact, he still owes them another record, since his deal calls for two albums; the first of which was the recent World Peace Is None of Your Business.

If true, we're not sure exactly how Moz feels about his contract situation, but he's clearly not entirely pleased with his label. In an open letter penned last week, he complained that his label hadn't made any music videos for the new album (since evidently all of those spoken word clips don't count).
