Monogamy Party

"Ordinary Things"

Sonic Youth-evoking noise rockers Monogamy Party gained some local praise back in 2011 for their well-crafted debut 10-inch, Pus City, but with a new guitarist and LP in the bag, the Seattle-based four-piece are ready for the rest of the world to hear their orgiastic punk rock. Get a taste of their debut full-length, False Dancers, by listening to album standout "Ordinary Things."

According to a press release, the album was recorded inside the home of a former hoarder in Granite Falls, WA — noteworthy for being the meth capital of the entire state. But it was these tumultuous surroundings that apparently helped create False Dancers' signature sound, which is described as being reminiscent of a "sweat-soaked, drug-fuelled dance party."

False Dancers arrives September 17 through Good to Die Records. Until then, listen to "Ordinary Things" in the player below.
