Seattle prog-pop outfit Minus the Bear are currently celebrating their tenth anniversary, and along with a U.S. fall tour, they're marking the occasion with a pair of reissues. On October 4, Suicide Squeeze Records will roll out new pressings of the 2001 EP This Is What I Know About Being Gigantic and the 2002 debut full-length Highly Refined Pirates.

This Is What I Know About Being Gigantic will be available in a vinyl run of 2,000, half of which will be printed on black vinyl and half of which will be on translucent blue. There will also be a run of 300 cassettes in blue cases.

As for Highly Refined Pirates, it will also be available in a vinyl edition of 2,000 (half black, half clear). There will be 300 cassettes in green cases.

Both albums were remastered for vinyl using the original tapes, and all hard copies will come with a download coupon. If you pre-order a vinyl copy, the first 100 orders of each album will receive a ten-year anniversary poster, plus a limited-edition cassette.

Unfortunately, Minus the Bear won't be coming to Canada on their anniversary tour, during which they will perform Highly Refined Pirates in its entirety. Check out the dates at their official website.
