Minus the Bear Book Canada-Friendly Tour

BY Alex HudsonPublished May 31, 2010

The shaggy-haired indie prog veterans of Seattle's Minus the Bear aren't usually known as sex symbols. The recently released OMNI, however, is all about "the exploration of erotic themes and fascinating tales of human sexual relationships." The album's first single, "My Time," is practically pornographic, with wah-wah flourishes, lusty synths, and lyrics that include, "the sweat rolls down your thigh" and "touch me in the dark."

Wondering how raunchy electro-pop tunes like this will translate live? You can soon find out, as the band will be touring North America this summer. The jaunt includes plenty of Canadian dates, with seven shows split between Canada's five westernmost provinces.

Here's hoping that the leotard-wearing, face-stroking dancers from the band's new "My Time" video (see below) come along for the tour.
