Milk & Bone Announce 'Little Mourning' LP

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Feb 2, 2015

Montreal electro-pop duo Milk & Bone have revealed plans for their full-length debut. Titled Little Mourning, the album will arrive on March 17 via Bonsound.

Friends Laurence Lafond-Beaulne and Camille Poliquin are both accomplished studio and touring musicians, but have forged their own "dreamy" indie pop sound with Milk & Bone.

The eight songs on Little Mourning were written together by Lafond-Beaulne and Poliquin, and as stated in a recent press release: "Milk & Bone's tightly-knit bond, palpable in concert and throughout the album, is a key part of their creative process."

Mixing friendship and work seems to work just fine for the duo, though they did bring in the extra help of producer Gabriel Gagnon. He also contributed to the mixing, programming and arranging of the record.

The album blends electronic layers with the ladies' versatile vocals, delivering hypnotizing hooks on tracks that "look into the darker aspects of love, friendship and lust."
