Electronic music vet Mika Vainio let loose a series of "slate grey metallic collisions" on last year's guitar-intensive Life (…It Eats You Up), and the industrial minimalist will continue his post-Pan Sonic evolution this fall with his next album, Magnetite.
The full details on the disc have yet to be delivered, but Vainio's latest will be released September 3 in the UK by Touch. The album was apparently recorded at Vainio's home in Berlin between 2011 and 2012, and according to a press release, it will "oscillate between the two poles of silence and noise."
Though 2011's Life (…It Eats You Up) was issued by Editions Mego, Magnetite is the artist's fifth record for Touch.
