METZ spent the weekend rocking out in a barn in Whitby, but they've returned to take on big city capitalism in their new video for "Mr. Plague."
The cut comes from the band's 2017 LP Strange Peace, and the accompanying animated video clip was directed by their frequent visual collaborator Shayne Ehman. He previously directed the videos for "Cellophane" and "Drained Lake."
As a press release explains, the video explores "the crumbling remnants of civilization," "a broken justice system" and "a consumer wasteland" — then asks: "Was it all part of the plan?"
