Since returning as King Hammer and dropping the world's most ignorable Jay-Z diss last year, MC Hammer has fallen back into obscurity. Now, however, the once-bankrupt '90s rap guy has put on his business parachute pants and decided to get into the technology realm. So what kind of revolutionary start-up is Hammer planning? Why, a search engine, of course.
Move over Google, Yahoo, Bing and Lycos, because Hammer's serious about this whole web game. According to the New York Times, Hammer's search engine isn't called "U Can't Touch This (Web Functionability)."
The engine is actually called WireDoo, and is said to use relationship information to expand on search results. Rather than try to compete with Google, the engine will drum up a number of related topics for each keyword.
Of course, if Hammer's looking to add a little hip-hop flavour to your web browsing experience, he's way behind. That was already perfected with the Snoop Dogg-themed Gizoogle years ago.
