Mad Decent electronic artist Big Makk (a.k.a. Samisoni Koroitamudu) tragically passed away today (August 29) after being involved in a car crash in Florida, his label has confirmed.

An early report from Florida's WESH said the accident took place this morning in Casselberry, FL, when a Dodge Charger crashed into a tree by All Faiths Memorial Park Cemetery, taking the lives of all three passengers inside the vehicle.

At the time of the report, the passengers were unable to be identified due to their conditions, but news of the DJ's death began to spread across social media. Not soon after, Mad Decent commented on the passing of their artist.

Big Makk had been involved in Florida's EDM scene for a number of years, mixing elements of trap, house and moombahton into his work. He had been a resident DJ of a longtime event at Orlando's Backbooth club called Shake 'n Bass, at which he performed last night.
