M. Geddes Gengras Announces New Album as Personable

BY Alex HudsonPublished Sep 3, 2015

In addition to being a skilled solo artist and accomplished collaborator, Los Angeles experimentalist M. Geddes Gengras has released a couple of albums under the pseudonym Personable. His latest release under this name will be called New Lines.

The album will be out on October 8 through Peak Oil. Although it contains just four tracks, these are long enough that the release is considered a full-length.

A press release reports that, on the album, we hear Gengras "delve deeper into the copper plated, arpeggio spewing nooks and crannies of his prodigious modular synthesizers, dragging them across vast expanses of infinity oscillations via stops in Detroit techno's neo-romantic strings ('Bushi') and Manchester's early '90s grime-soaked IDM clatter ('Cris Rose')."

The album is available to pre-order here. It's being pressed in an edition of 300 and comes with a nifty lenticular cover.
