Vancouver experimenter LNRDCROY (a.k.a. Leon Campbell) is gearing up to release Much Less Normal, a 10-song cassette for Vancouver imprint 1080p. Today, we get our first taste of the release with the song "Slam City Jam (Mix Assist Mix)."
The song's full of dance-music hallmarks, from bouncy beats to synth stabs, but it all sounds a little off, almost like a '90s club mixtape that accidentally went through the wash. In other words, it's a fascinating listen.
