Toronto's Littlefolk — the solo project of Brandon Pearse — has announced plans for a new full-length record. Songs of Harry Throat will be released on May 8 via Blob Records — but today we have the first taste streaming right here at Exclaim!
Pearse has shared the first single from the forthcoming effort, a song titled "Wire on My Teeth" — a slow-going indie-flecked tune that calls toward the coming spring.
Littlefolk describes the track as a piece that "delves into rumination of the self. An early morning reflection put to words. A real-time look at the thoughts that meander and fly through the mind, set to a melody and instrumentation that juxtaposes these more intense matters. It's a piece that can leave you both bobbing your head and thinking deep."
Songs of Harry Throat was produced by Mr. Joy's Asher Gould-Murtagh and marks Littlefolk's follow-up to 2016's Cats in the Bath.
