Lindstrøm is set to return with a new solo album. Called On a Clear Day I Can See You Forever, the sixth solo effort from the long-running Norwegian electronic artist will arrive on October 11 via Smalltown Supersound.

The new album marks the first from Lindstrøm since 2017's It's Alright Between Us as It Is.
According to a press release, all the songs from the album are based on long, one-take recordings, and the record was inspired by Robert Wyatt's solo records and the 1970s musical On a Clear Day You Can See Forever (which starred Barbra Streisand), in addition to a piece Lindstrøm composed for Norway's premiere art centre, Henie Onstad Kunstsenter.
"I felt totally unrestrained making this album," said Lindstrøm in a statement. "I've listened to Robert Wyatt's solo albums and his Matching Mole's debut album a lot lately. It so effortless, fearless and free. And not insisting. I was very inspired by this"
