Nini Nobless — one half of 1980s Canadian disco/Hi-NRG duo Lime, who continued to release electronic music under her own name — has died at 74 after a battle with cancer.
In 1979, Nobless released the instrumental 12-inch single "The Break" under the name Kat Mandu before forming Lime with her then-wife Denyse LePage. The pair dropped their debut album Your Love in 1981, and the title track hit number one on Billboard's Disco chart in the US. The following year, Lime released their second album Lime II, which included the single "Babe We're Gonna Love Tonight."
Nobless also wrote the song "Dancin' the Night Away" for fellow Canadian dance duo Voggue, which went to number one on the American Hot Dance Club Play chart American Billboard in 1980.
Nobless went on to release plenty of solo music through the 2000s and 2010s. Revisit "Babe We're Gonna Love Tonight" below.
